Phosphorus and ilmenite are easy to be selected, but the cost of beneficiation is high. Most of the concentrators only magnetically select and recover magnetite, but the magnetic separation tailings are discarded, and the waste of resources is serious.
Since the 1980s, our institute has carried out mineral processing experiments on low-grade phosphate rock in the north and achieved good results. The ore type of Zhaobingou iron-phosphorus ore in Fengning County, Hebei Province is relatively simple, mainly composed of titanium magnet apatite ore. The ore structure is fine-grain-medium grain crystal structure and fine-grain-medium grain granitic crystal structure. it is good. The main minerals are magnetite, ilmenite, apatite, which contains a small amount of sulphur-cobalt ore. Phosphorus grade is low. In 2003, our institute conducted a comprehensive ore dressing test on phosphorus, ilmenite and sulphur-cobalt resources in Zhaobingou iron phosphate rock, and developed AW-10 new high-efficiency phosphate rock collector suitable for the ore's ore properties; The flotation process recovers phosphorus minerals, the heavy-magnetic separation process recovers ilmenite minerals, and the flotation process recovers the sulphur-cobalt minerals. The zn128 collector used in the flotation of the Zhaobingou phosphate rock is non-toxic and non-polluting, and has good biodegradability and is beneficial to environmental protection. The result solves the problem that the flotation pulp needs to add a large amount of sodium carbonate to adjust the pH value of the slurry; the flotation temperature is lowered, and the normal temperature flotation is achieved, leading the international level. The research on the comprehensive beneficiation processing and utilization of low-grade phosphorus, ilmenite and sulphur-cobalt in Zhaobingou iron-phosphorus mine not only makes the enterprise have economic benefits, but also reduces environmental pollution, solves the employment problem, and has good environmental and social benefits.
