Heavy rain hit eight foreign flights to foreign airports in Pudong

Shanghai June 18th, the early morning of the 18th, a torrential rain this year hit the Pudong foreign airport, from 4:00 to 6:00 during the rainstorm caused a total of eight foreign arrivals alternately.

At about 4 o'clock in the morning, the rain at Pudong's foreign airports grew larger and larger, showing a tendency of tilting. The strong winds rushed towards Pudong's foreign airports with heavy rain as a waterfall. Affected by the heavy rain, at 4:30, FM834 could not land on the flight from Phnom Penh to Shanghai and became the first flight to be affected by the heavy rain. The heavy rain continued for more than two hours. During this period, 8 foreign arrival flights were conducted. Prepare other airports, including 7 flights to Hongqiao Airport and 1 flight to the Capital Airport. At about 7 o'clock, the rain started to get smaller and the flight gradually returned to normal. This heavy rainfall and long duration is the rated heavy rain this year at Pudong’s foreign airports.

It is understood that the Shanghai Airport Frontier Inspection Station has started emergency plans for handling severe weather, focusing on changes in the rain and flight trends, mobilizing police forces, and opening avenues to prepare for rapid entry procedures for foreign flights that have concentrated after the storm.
