In 2015, the 49.5MW wind farm project of Qingqi Yellow River Hydropower Company Cheqi Squadron won the approval document of Hainan State Development and Reform Commission. The project is one of the fourth batch of projects to be approved by the National Energy Administration in the "12th Five-Year Plan". The project is located in the territory of Cheiji Township, Gonghe County, Qinghai Province, about 13.5km away from the site of the completed 1st Caicca wind farm. Site area elevation of 3070 meters ~ 3220 meters, the site area of ​​about 15 square kilometers. The wind farm plans to install 25 sets of 2000kw wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 49.5MW. The average annual utilization hours of the wind farm are 218 hours. The average annual generating capacity is 108.256 million kwh and the annual average wind speed (80m) is 6.54m .
The investment and construction of the project will play an active role in improving the power supply structure in Hainan, easing the pressure on environmental protection and promoting the sustainable development of society, economy and electricity in ethnic minority areas.
