First, centralized power supply
Centralized power supply refers to the way in which the source equipment is centrally installed in the power room and the battery room, and the communication power is distributed and distributed to each communication device.
The advantage of the centralized power supply scheme is to uniformly control and manage the power supply scheme, reduce the use of engineering cables, and beautify the engineering route. However, please note that when using the centralized power supply scheme, ensure that the total capacity of the centralized power supply equipment is greater than the sum of the service capacity of the downstream load. Centralized power supply: Connect 12V centralized power supply at 220V power supply, and then connect to the camera with 2*1.0 red and black power cables respectively. The centralized power supply mode refers to the centralized power supply to the front-end load by using a 12V switching power supply in the monitoring room or at an intermediate point.
Advantages: Convenient construction, easy maintenance, unified control and management.
Disadvantages: DC low-voltage power supply transmission distance is too high, the voltage loss is high, and the anti-interference ability during transmission is poor.

Advantages: 220V AC has low voltage loss during transmission and strong anti-interference ability.
Disadvantages: Each point must be installed with a power supply, which is more troublesome to construct.
Third, PoE power supply
PoE power supply refers to the technology of providing DC power to other devices without any modification to the existing Ethernet Cat.5 cabling infrastructure. This method is mainly applied to high-definition network digital monitoring systems.
Advantages: Reduced cost, flexible deployment, single-port power up to 30W.
Disadvantages: The quality of the network cable is high and the transmission distance is limited.
Fourth, matters needing attention
When using an infrared camera, centralized power supply is not recommended. Because the current is large when the infrared is turned on, it is difficult to ensure the infrared effect of all the cameras by the centralized power supply mode.
Point-to-point power supply, near power, can save the use of the line, is a big savings, but after-sales maintenance, extremely difficult to repair; this is a certain, centralized power supply has a benefit, future maintenance is easy, not easy to go wrong, but not If you are doing this, you will use the peer-to-peer power supply if you are finished doing this. It is a long-term one that uses centralized power supply.
If there are more outlets, use separate power to draw power. If there is not much, use centralized ones. If it is indoors, use a good sheathed power cord.
When the number of cameras is relatively large and the distance of power supply does not exceed 100 meters, it is recommended to use PoE power supply. It is convenient and quick to use without special construction, but pay attention to the choice of PoE power supply equipment.
