According to "Daily Economic News" reporter statistics, since the second half of the year, there have been the Great Wall Haval H5 European version, Haval Extreme Edition, FAW Car 2011 Pentium B50, Mercedes-Benz new E-class and new R-class, GAC Toyota Yaris, Shanghai Volkswagen New POLO, FAW-Volkswagen New Bora and other dozens of variant models are available.

Analysts believe that the listing of many modified models is related to the company's product launch rhythm and the introduction of a new model to a long period of time. On the other hand, auto companies hope to pass the revised models to impact the annual sales target.

To this reporter, Ma Chunping, head of the public relations department of FAW Toyota, told reporters, “The new models of FAW Toyota including remodel models are usually listed more than a year in advance for planning and market research, and will be submitted to the sales company one month before listing. Therefore, there is no impact on sales.” But she also disclosed that before the end of this year, FAW Toyota will not have a new model.

Fourth quarter or usher in promotional climax

According to the data released by China Automobile Association and automobile enterprises, the automobile market in September did show a sales trend of “Jinjiu”. The domestic automobile production and sales completed 1,592,900 and 155,670 vehicles, respectively, an increase of 24.69% and 17.73% respectively. However, as of now, most of the automakers' sales volume growth in October has shown a downward trend relative to that in September.

Analysts believe that the fourth quarter of each year is the final sprint stage for major auto makers to compete for the market. Many manufacturers' preferential policies will continue until the end of the year. Manufacturers will certainly seize this opportunity to fight price wars.

“According to the survey results of sales figures and consumer attention, the current domestic auto market is in a stable state and the policy has no obvious impact on the auto market.” Yu Ming, an industry analyst at CenturyLink, expressed to “Daily Economic News” reporters. The current smooth situation is only a prelude to the marketing war. It is expected that major auto dealers are brewing a new round of price adjustment policies and the competition in the auto market in the fourth quarter will be very cruel.
