Shaft development method definition and applicable conditions

The main development method of the roadway using the shaft is called the shaft development method. When the iron ore ore angle greater than 45 ° or less than 15 °, and the burial depth, often with shaft development. Because the shaft has a large lifting capacity, it is often used in large and medium-sized mines. Shaft development is widely used in mining.
The lifting vessel in the shaft may be a cage or a bucket, or both a cage and a bucket, which are referred to as a tank well, a bucket well, and a mixing well, respectively. The cage has great flexibility for lifting, but the production capacity is low, and the lifting capacity of the bucket well is large, but the personnel and materials cannot be upgraded, and the loading and unloading systems are complicated. Taking iron ore as an example, it is generally believed that the annual output of iron ore is below 300,000 tons, and when the depth of the well is about 300m, the cage is used for lifting; when the annual output of iron ore exceeds 500,000 tons and the depth is greater than 300m, the bucket is usually used. When the depth of development is large, the geological conditions are complicated, and the construction is difficult, in order to reduce the amount of development work and reduce the number of wells properly, a mixed well may be considered.

There are five general body styles of Ball Valves: single body, three-piece body, split body, top entry, and welded. The difference is based on how the pieces of the valve-especially the casing that contains the ball itself-are manufactured and assembled. The valve operation is the same in each case.

In addition, there are different styles related to the bore of the ball mechanism itself.

Ball Valves in sizes up to 2 inch generally come in single piece, two or three piece designs. One piece ball valves are almost always reduced bore, are relatively inexpensive and generally are throw-away. Two piece ball valves are generally slightly reduced (or standard) bore, they can be either throw-away or repairable. The 3 piece design allows for the center part of the valve containing the ball, stem & seats to be easily removed from the pipeline. This facilitates efficient cleaning of deposited sediments, replacement of seats and gland packings, polishing out of small scratches on the ball, all this without removing the pipes from the valve body. The design concept of a three piece valve is for it to be repairable.
