A helical turning principle is proposed based on the three-axis linkage CNC lathe with C-axis: a three-axis linkage is used for the straight-running roughing of the toroidal worm spiral surface. When turning the spiral surface, the cutter body is always perpendicular to the worm axis. When the roughing vehicle moves in the Z direction, the initial position of the worm does not change, and the rotation angle changes. Use a cutting knife to cut one side spiral surface of the worm and then process the other side spiral surface.
