In September, sales of 1,167,400 cars decreased by 1.75% year-on-year

According to the statistics released by China Automobile Association in September, the national automobile production and sales data show that, in general, the production and sales volume of automobiles in September saw a certain growth, and sales volume decreased slightly year-on-year. From January to September, the year-on-year growth of automobile production and sales was 4.98% and 3.37%, respectively, a slight decrease from the previous August.

General overview of production and sales: In September, automobile production was 1.606 million, an increase of 10.62% compared with the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 3.67%; sales were 1.167 million, a year-on-year increase of 8.17% and a year-on-year decrease of 1.75%, which was the first monthly decline since February of this year.

From January to September, automobile production and sales amounted to 14,113,200 vehicles and 14,092,300 vehicles, an increase of 4.98% and 3.37% respectively year-on-year. Among them, 11.6751 million passenger cars and 11.26916 million vehicles were sold and sold, which was an increase of 8.41% and 6.94% year-on-year; commercial vehicle production and sales were 2,764,100 and 8,822,700, a year-on-year decrease of 7.13% and 8.82%.
