Engine companies have invested heavily in the research and development of clean power, and the Euro III emission standard is no longer just a patent for imported engines. The use of domestic engines has reached Europe. The III emission standard buses have begun to be used in batches in some cities. The user's specified rate for the engine is extremely high. Unlike other components, the engine's position in the car is always ranked first. At present, most car users in China are still unable to freely select engines. However, users of commercial vehicles in China have been able to select key components for their own commercial vehicles as well as computers, including engines.

It has been learned from truck dealers that most of the users who come to purchase trucks have specified the engines that they have purchased. However, when passenger companies purchase passenger cars, they often specify the type of engine for the bus companies. Specifying the engine has become a common phenomenon in the commercial vehicle trade. Behind this phenomenon, what is hidden is the engine enterprise's direct marketing to the user level. Marketing to end users has become the consensus of these diesel engine companies. Now, the engine and commercial vehicle are no longer a simple supporting relationship. For some diesel engine companies, the relationship with commercial vehicles is moving toward the direction of strategic alliances. According to the reporter’s understanding, Yuchai is working to integrate part of the Yuchai service station and Dongfeng commercial vehicle service station. Because in the after-sales service system of commercial vehicles, the maintenance of the diesel engine is undertaken by the engine company instead of the main engine factory. Therefore, Yuchai's move will undoubtedly enhance the service competitiveness of the Dongfeng commercial vehicle.
