The adjustment of the C6132 lathe is mainly performed by changing the positions of the respective handles, as shown in Figure 6-7.

2. The basic operation of horizontal lathe
(1) Parking exercise (spindle reversal and stop handle 13 at stop position)
1) Correctly change the spindle speed. By varying the shift handles 1, 2 or 6 on the outside of the gearbox and headstock, various spindle speeds can be obtained. When the handle does not move smoothly, use the hand to turn the chuck slightly.
2) Change the feed amount correctly. Check the label on the feed box according to the selected feed amount, and then change the positions of the handles 3 and 4 according to the position of the feeding handle on the signboard, and the selected feed amount is obtained.
3) Familiar with mastering the vertical and horizontal manual feed handle rotation direction. The left hand holds the longitudinal feed manual handwheel 17 and the right hand holds the lateral feed manual handle 7 . Rotate the handwheel clockwise and counterclockwise to control the direction of movement of the carriage and the carriage.
4) Familiar with mastering longitudinal or lateral maneuvering operations. The light bar or the screw-on handle 18 is located at the position of the light bar, and can be longitudinally fed by lifting the longitudinal motorized feed handle 16, for example, the transverse motorized feed handle 15 can be lifted horizontally. Pulling down respectively stops vertical and horizontal maneuvers.
5) Tailstock operation. The tailstock is manually moved and fastened by fastening bolts and nuts. Turning the tailstock to move the sleeve handwheel 12 allows the sleeve to move within the tailstock. Turn the tailstock lock handle 11 to secure the sleeve in the tailstock.
(2) Before the low-speed driving practice, it is necessary to check whether the positions of the handles are in the correct positions and carry out the driving practice without errors.

pay attention:
1) If the machine tool is not completely stopped, it is forbidden to change the spindle speed. Otherwise, the phenomenon of serious teeth chatter in the spindle box may occur and even a machine accident may occur. Check whether the handles are in the correct position before driving.
2) The vertical and horizontal handles can't be shaken wrongly in the direction of advance and retreat, especially if you need to pay attention to the rapid advance and retreat. Otherwise, workpiece scrapping and safety accidents will occur.
3) When the manual handle of horizontal feed is used for one grid, the knife is 0.02mm in the horizontal direction and the cutting amount in the direction of the cylinder diameter is 0.04mm.
