Two super-large hydrogenation reactors required for the Tianjin Soda Plant's butyl octanol project have undergone scientific and rigorous research and demonstration in the early stage, and finally decided to choose domestically-made equipment. Tianjin Soda Plant, China First Heavy Machinery Group Company and Hefei General Machinery Research Institute have just signed a contract. The annual production capacity of 225,000 tons of butyl octyl alcohol project in the Tianjin Soda Plant New Area is a project that mutually feeds raw materials and markets to the one million tons of large-scale ethylene and large oil refining projects under construction in Tianjin. The two large-scale hydrogenation reactors it needs, butyraldehyde converters and octenol converter units, are key equipment for the octanol project. Previously, similar devices of the same type in the country had to be imported from abroad. The two converters signed this time are also the largest domestic hydrogenation converters.
It is understood that the specifications of the two large-scale hydrogenation reactors of the butyl octanol project are 4,900 × 12,700 mm and 4,600 × 12,600 mm, respectively. They adopt a plate-welded structure, use internal flexible tube sheet manufacturing technology and the world's advanced production technology for butanol. The equipment has a large diameter, a complex structure, and a large number of heat exchange tubes, which are 1,150 and 1,290 respectively. The tube plate, the tube box and the shell are all connected by a flange ring, and the structure is special. It is manufactured for the first time in China.
Tianjin Soda Plant New Area is located in Tianjin Lingang Industrial Zone, covering an area of ​​2 square kilometers. The relocation and reconstruction project started on December 18, 2005 and is the first of 20 major industrial construction projects in Tianjin. Tianjin Soda Plant always adheres to the principle of “Leading at home and world-class” in the planning of gasification, air separation, ammonia synthesis, methanol, co-alkali, acetic acid, polyoxymethylene, and butyl octanol in the new district, and adheres to independent innovation, digestion and absorption. After inspections of several domestic equipment manufacturing companies, and after repeated argumentation by experts, they finally determined that the Hefei General Machinery Research Institute would bear the equipment design, and China First Heavy Machinery Group would be responsible for equipment manufacturing.
