When knocking is detected, the thermal efficiency can be reduced by delaying the ignition time, thereby reducing the occurrence of knocking problems. The maximum output power was increased from 92 kW of the original engine to 100 kW, which was mainly due to the increase in valve lift. The suction end increased from 8.1 mm to 8.8 mm, and the exhaust end increased from 7.5 mm to 7.8 mm. This increase in friction due to the spring constant of the valve spring increases, but the emphasis on output power has changed.

At the same time, in order to reduce the pressure loss of the exhaust pipe, the catalyst below the floor was also removed, only the direct type catalyst was used, and not only that but also the capacity of the auxiliary combustion chamber was increased. However, the diameter of the exhaust pipe was not changed. In addition, the shape of the suction manifold is also made smoother. The original nozzle installation site is concave and convex. This time, the nozzle has been changed to a longer one, and the unevenness of the installation site has been reduced. At the same time, the roughness of the air intake port surface has also been improved, thereby reducing the resistance.
