Shanghai Ship Research Ballast Water System Approved by CCS Type

Shanghai Ship Research Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. CYECO ship ballast water treatment system has recently obtained the type approval certificate issued by China Classification Society (CCS), becoming the first ballast water treatment system approved by the classification society in Shanghai.

The ballast water treatment system is independently designed, developed and manufactured by Shanghai Ship Research Co., Ltd., which uses mechanical filtration and ultraviolet (UV) disinfection technology to treat ballast water, and uses online non-interrupting high-pressure self-backwashing technology to ensure the filter is stable. Reliable operation, with no chemical process added or any chemical production, compact structure, small footprint, stable operation, safe operation, simple operation and low maintenance cost. Its pure physical green environmental treatment process meets the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) D-2 standard. In September 2011 and April 2012, the land-based test and the actual ship test of the system were successfully completed.
