National Semiconductor's latest two highly integrated converters

Delivers over 90% efficiency over a wide load range, these high-performance buck/boost and buck/buck converters boost high-current system efficiency and extend battery life

National Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE: NSM) announced two new high-performance converters that feature high current system efficiency and extended battery life. The LM2716's buck/boost converter and the LM2717's buck/buck converter can drive a wide range of different sized loads and ensure efficiencies of up to 90%, thus extending system battery life . These converter chips are ideal for embedded computer systems, set-top boxes, portable Internet devices, general loads, and monitors and televisions including TFT/LCD flat panel displays.
