Norwegian company MMC Green Technology has announced that its ballast water treatment system (BWTS) has received 28 orders so far, and has received approval from the Norwegian Classification Society (DNV) and AMS certification for use in US waters.
According to the company, its ballast water system is particularly popular in the new shipbuilding and conversion vessel market for offshore support vessels, as the system claims to be the smallest system on the market, taking up less space on board, simple to design and easy to operate.
The above modified ship orders include the Well Enhancer, a wellhead intervention ship from Hellix Well Ops, England, which is equipped with a 150m3/h processing capacity system. And MMC recently signed an agreement with Norwegian shipowner Havila to provide a system for the submarine engineering support ship "Havila Phoenix".
