For a long time, the low-temperature deoxygenated water used in Qilu Rubber Plant's styrene-butadiene rubber plant was obtained by heating the demineralized water at 20°C to 105°C and then reducing the temperature with circulating water, wasting a lot of steam and circulating water. In 2007, the plant made a technical transformation. The technicians directly deoxygenated the demineralized water at 20°C through a degassing membrane deoxygenation equipment to eliminate the consumption of steam and circulating water. Since the implementation of the transformation, the system has saved 28,000 tons of steam and reduced 4 million tons of recycled water.
