EU releases draft implementation measures for eco-design regulations for lighting products

Background to the draft eco-design regulations: The 2009/125/EC Directive requires the Commission to develop relevant eco-design requirements for controlling the performance of energy-related products traded or sold in the market, and reducing energy consumption through improved design performance. At the same time reduce the impact of energy consumption on the environment. The Directive Committee is required to develop a preparatory plan for the analysis and research of environmental impacts, technical requirements and economic benefits of existing lighting products and components. This technical regulation is based on the development and improvement of existing implementation measures EC No244/2009, EC No245/2009, and EU No 1194/2012. Scope of product to which eco-design regulations apply: This measure applies to lighting products or components of lighting products that are marketed or put into use, including lighting fixtures that are incorporated into Other products. However, the following lighting products are not covered by the products used in this implementation: Military or civil defense equipment and devices. Nuclear facility installation. Other transport devices other than cars. Road, rail, sea or air signalling devices. Medical device device. Laboratory equipment installation. electronic display. Art gallery. The working environment temperature of the product is below -20 °C or above 50 °C. Eco-design regulations require implementation phase and date: Eco-design regulations effective date: The implementation measures will be effective on the 20th day after the official publication of the official journal of the European Union, and will be mandatory on September 1, 2018. Execution, while the following implementation measures will be abolished. Commission Regulation (EC) No 244/2009; Commission Regulation (EC) No 245/2009; Commission Regulation (EU) No 1194/2012. The energy efficiency requirements of the eco-design regulations are as follows: Phase 1: The maximum allowable power is as follows: Standby power: If present, the maximum value Psb = 0.5W Off-mode mode does not allow power consumption. Second stage: Other requirements are the same as above. The third stage: Other requirements are the same as above. Accessories requirements (including adapters, dimmers, controllers, etc.): 90% minimum energy efficiency. Standby power. If present, the maximum value Psb = 0.5W Off-mode mode does not allow power consumption.
