Domestic metal processing machine industry upgrading

According to the latest statistics released by China Customs, in September 2012, China imported 11,480 sets of metal processing machines, a decrease of 1.9% from the previous month; import amounted to 1,456 million US dollars, a slight increase of 1.1% from the previous quarter; the average unit price was US$126,800/station. The data shows that the total amount of China's imported metal processing machine tools increased from the previous month in June from April.

In terms of industry scale, the output value of the machine tool industry in China only accounts for 3.6% of the total output value of the machinery industry. The output value of metal processing machine tools (including gold-cutting machine tools and forming machine tools) accounts for only about 2.5%, while the output value of the German machine tool industry accounts for the machinery industry. Industry output value 6.1%. The machine tool industry at the core of equipment manufacturing industry has not yet fully embodied its value in China, and there is still room for great development in the future.

In addition, the country's key equipment manufacturing industry has great demand for metal processing machine tools, especially for high-speed, precision, intelligent CNC machine tools, the demand is particularly evident. At the same time, large-scale, precision, high-speed numerical control equipment is also a key technology equipment industry supported by the country. Domestic metalworking machine tool industry is actively upgrading equipment and import substitution.
