Deutz's new engine TCD9.0 first appeared in Shanghai

At the 2016 China BMW Show, the largest exhibition of Asian construction machinery and equipment, Germany Deutz and its Chinese joint venture, Deutz FAW (Dalian) Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. participated in the exhibition. The China BMW Show is held every two years and is exhibited at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center, targeting industrial, retail and service providers in construction machinery. Deutz attended the exhibition as an expert in drive systems for construction machinery, mining equipment and logistics equipment.

The first appearance of the new TCD 9.0 engine was the highlight of Deutz's participation in this year's BMW Show. The 9-litre four-cylinder diesel engine is the first step in the new generation of engines from Deutz and the Liebherr Group. In cooperation between the two parties, the engine manufactured by the Liebherr Group will be sold by Deutz under the DEUTZ brand. It is planned to manufacture the licensed TCD9.0 engine from Deutz's Chinese joint venture to make it easier to serve the Chinese market. With an engine power of 300 kW and a torque of 1700 Nm, it is a very compact engine that can be installed on a wide range of equipment, especially for excavators and loaders.

All of Deutz's new engines can be developed to meet Euro V, T4, China IV and Euro IIIA emission standards, and can be put into mass production in 2019. The engine is equipped with a standard, versatile customer interface and a high proportion of engine common parts, which can be sold worldwide through Deutz's global distribution and service provider network.

Mr. Michael Wellenzohn, a member of the management team of Deutz, is responsible for sales and marketing. He commented: “With the alliance with Liebherr, the engine variety has been increased and our product line has been enhanced to cover more For a wide range of product power and equipment, and through the production of TCD 9.0 engines in Dalian, China, our contacts with Chinese partners will be closer. We recognize that when new technologies are put into use, the market will have huge potential growth. opportunity.

Deutz leads the way in post-processing through the use of high-tech systems such as diesel particulate filters (PDF), selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and diesel redox (DOC) technologies. Deutz's original engine products (TCD2.2
Both TCD16.0) and the new Liebherr engine meet the EU's most stringent Euro V emission standards (starting in 2019). For lower emission standards, companies can also provide products that meet their requirements. This means that an engine platform can meet both the European V market and other regions where the emission requirements are not critical.

In addition to the TCD 9.0 engine, Deutz also exhibited in Shanghai the representative of its successful development of the compact engine: TCD2.9. This four-cylinder engine has been developed with high horsepower, rated power of 75 kW, high torque and torque of 375 Nm. Even with an initial power of less than 56 kW, the high torque speed can be reduced, so that the SV system can be used to meet the Euro V standard. Due to the increased power and torque, the engine can replace the larger engines to achieve the same effect, but the weight, installation space and cost are greatly reduced. Since 2019, the TCD2.9 engine will be produced at Deutz FAW (Dalian) Diesel Engine Co., Ltd., a Chinese joint venture of Deutz.

“Deutz continues to expand its product range and has long been a leader in post-processing modular solutions.” As Mr. Michael Wellenzohn said, Deutz is meeting China’s increasingly stringent emissions regulations and exports to Europe, the US and Japan. The test products are in an invincible position.
