The global sales of the BMW brand in June reached 153,075 units, up 9.4% year-on-year, compared to 139,879 units sold in June last year. The year-on-year rate of increase in the first half of the year reached 7.7%, from 747,089 units in the same period last year to 804,248. The brand is also the main force of the current group growth.

The mini vehicle MINI brand sold 31,102 units globally in June. It sold 32.339 units in June of last year, down 3.8% year-on-year. In the first half of the year, it sold 148,798 units, which was a year-on-year decrease of 2.0% compared with 151,877 units in the same period last year.

The sales of ultra-luxury brand Rolls-Royce in the first half of the year fell by 7.8% year-on-year, from 1,600 to 1,475. Mainly due to sluggish sales in the first quarter, but in the second quarter Rolls-Royce had strong performance in China, the Middle East and South-East Asia, so sales increased by 1% year-on-year. The brand still expects to achieve its original growth target this year.

Among the three German luxury brands, BMW's growth rate was in the lead in the first half of the year.

In June, global sales of the Mercedes-Benz brand increased by 8.3% year-on-year to 121,609 units from 121,542 units. Sales in the first half of the year increased by 6.4% from 652,924 units to 694,433 vehicles in the first half of the year. Audi's global sales in June increased by 5.5% year-on-year from 133,049 units to 140,300 units. From the 733,216 units in the first half of the year, it increased 6.4% year-on-year to 780,500 units.

Raised 44% in China in June

In June of this year, sales volume of the BMW Group in the largest single market in mainland China reached a record high of 34,481 units. In June last year, sales volume in China reached 23,930 units, a year-on-year increase of 44.1%. Among the BMW brands, MINI sold 12,070 vehicles in China in the first half of the year, an increase of 6.3% year-on-year, compared with 11,356 units in the same period of last year. In the first half of the year, BMW brand sales volume was approximately 170,700 units in the Chinese mainland, compared with 147,600 units in the same period of last year, a year-on-year increase of 15.7%, which was lower than Audi's 17.7% in the three German luxury brands, while Mercedes-Benz declined by 0.5% year-on-year.

In the United States, BMW Group’s US sales in June increased by 21.4% to 27,720 units from the same period of last year to 33,645 units. The cumulative sales volume in the first half of the year increased by 9.0% from 158,563 units to 172,787 units. The BMW brand's June sales surged 24.6% year-on-year to 27,074 vehicles, which totaled 140,431 units. Sales volume for the same period last year was 126,504 units, up 11% year-on-year; sales of the MINI brand increased by 9.6% year-on-year to 6,571 units, and total sales reached 32,356 units in the first half of the year. , an increase of 0.9%.

Throughout the Americas, BMW Group’s sales in the first half of the year increased by 9.7% from 194,620 units to 213,473 units.

In the Asian region, BMW Group delivered sales in the first half of the year from 237,876 units to 14.74 percent year-on-year to 272,100 units. In Japan, it increased 10.1% year-on-year to 30,483 units, and in Korea 18.3% year-on-year to 18,412 units.
